Terms & conditions

These terms describe the rules for using Menu Builder, including customer accounts, content, AI-assisted tools, and platform access.

Last updated:April 19, 2026

1. Overview

Menu Builder is a shared software platform for creating and publishing restaurant menus and simple restaurant websites. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these terms.

If you use Menu Builder on behalf of a restaurant, company, or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Accounts and access

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account or your restaurant workspace.

Owners are responsible for deciding who receives access to a restaurant and for reviewing editor permissions, domains, menus, translations, and published content.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use Menu Builder to break the law, interfere with the platform, or publish material that you do not have the right to use.

  • No illegal, fraudulent, infringing, or deceptive content.
  • No attempts to bypass access controls, probe other tenants, or disrupt service availability.
  • No malware, abuse, scraping attacks, or automated misuse that harms the platform or other users.
  • No submission of sensitive personal data into fields that are not meant for it.

4. Customer content

You keep ownership of the text, images, menus, domains, and other materials that you upload or publish through Menu Builder.

You grant Menu Builder the limited rights needed to host, store, process, adapt, and publish that content for the purpose of operating the service.

You are responsible for making sure your content is accurate, lawful, properly licensed, and suitable for public publication.

5. AI-assisted features

Menu Builder may offer AI-assisted translation or content workflows. These features are optional and are provided to help draft or revise content, not to replace your review.

AI outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate. You remain responsible for checking translations, menu details, allergens, pricing, availability, and any other published information before it goes live.

AI-assisted translation is subject to plan-based allowances, technical limits, and abuse-prevention guardrails. Those limits may be introduced, adjusted, capped, paused, or changed at any time as the product, model providers, and operating conditions evolve.

6. Fair use, lifetime access, and operational limits

Public tenant websites are offered on a fair-use basis across all plans. No plan includes an unrestricted right to bandwidth, storage, crawling, automation, or other usage patterns that materially affect platform stability or other customers.

If a site, integration, or traffic pattern creates unusual load, abuse risk, or operational cost beyond normal fair use, we may apply caching requirements, rate limits, temporary restrictions, or ask you to move to a different arrangement, regardless of plan tier or expected traffic.

Any founder lifetime or lifetime-style offer remains subject to the same fair-use expectations. Lifetime access means continued access to the hosted service while that offering remains available under these terms, not an unlimited right to consume resources without restriction.

For lifetime purchases, we guarantee at least 4 years of hosted access from the purchase date. If Menu Builder permanently ceases operations and no hosted successor is provided for lifetime customers, we will provide a reasonable transition path that includes export of the customer restaurant data and, where legally and technically possible, a copy of the code needed to self-host that customer website under separate transition terms. Third-party services, credentials, and proprietary shared infrastructure may be excluded from that transition package.

7. Availability and product changes

We may improve, change, limit, or remove parts of the service over time. We may also perform maintenance, security work, or infrastructure changes that affect availability.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or the continued availability of every feature in its current form.

8. Third-party services

Menu Builder depends on third-party providers for infrastructure and product operation, including hosting, storage, authentication, domain or DNS workflows, and AI-processing services.

Your use of some connected capabilities may therefore also depend on the terms, uptime, and technical limits of those third-party providers.

9. Intellectual property

The Menu Builder software, product design, trademarks, and related materials belong to Menu Builder or its licensors, except for customer content that you provide.

These terms do not give you ownership of the software itself or the right to copy, resell, reverse engineer, or republish the service beyond what is necessary to use it as intended.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or limit access if we reasonably believe there is abuse, a security risk, a violation of these terms, or a need to protect the service or other users.

You may stop using the service at any time. Certain provisions, including those about content responsibility, disclaimers, liability, and legal compliance, survive termination where applicable.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Menu Builder is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not guarantee that the service will meet every legal, operational, or commercial requirement for your business without your own review.

To the extent permitted by law, Menu Builder will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product and business evolve. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of the page and publish the latest version here. Continued use of the service after an update means the updated terms apply.
